Conrad Barnard

Experienced flyhalf Conrad Barnard has enjoyed an impressive professional career to date and is currently part of, newly promoted Top 14 side, Agen's squad.

Although he was born in Port Elizabeth, Barnard made a name for himself as a top flight player with Free State, Griquas and the Sharks.

The former Cheetahs pivot started his career in 1998, in the Free State U21 side, and enjoyed five strong seasons with the Union before he eventually made his move. Joining the Sharks, Barnard got his first taste of Super rugby in 2005.

In 2006 the points machine traded Durban for Kimberley and join Griquas - establishing himself as a key member of Dawie Theron's team over the course of three seasons.

Having once again tasted Super rugby with the Cheetahs in 2008 Barnard decided the time was right for him to make the move overseas. Then 29, Barnard joined Toulon in 2009 before, in March of 2010, he signed for Agen.
