Earl Rose

Springbok back Earl Rose is one of the country's most naturally talented players. Comfortable at either flyhalf or fullback, the playmaker first made a name for himself as an age-group star for Western Province and South Africa.
Rose started his career with Western Province in 2002, while still at school, and played for his home province in both the Currie Cup and the Vodacom Cup. In 2006 he was offered a move to the Lions and, moving to Jo'burg, got his first taste of Super Rugby that season.
An exciting talent with ball in hand, Rose has also represented his country at Sevens and featured for the Emerging Springboks.
In 2008 Rose was selected as part of the Springbok touring party. In 2009 he again toured with the national side and was a part of the squad which was victorious over the British and Irish Lions.
Injury hampered his progress in 2010 and led to him fallening out of the Lions squad. Joining World Artists, Rose then agreed a move to Griquas for the new season, starting November 1st. Moving to Cheetahs country, the influential flyhalf could be a part of Naka Drotske's side in the 2011 and will continue his career with Dawie Theron in Kimberley for the Currie Cup season.
