Dewald Senekal

Born in Uitenhage, former Lions lock forward Dewald Senekal is a powerful and dynamic player who currently plays for Agen in the French Top 14 competition.

Senekal started his career with the Pumas in 2005 and tasted Super 14 action with both the Sharks and the Lions, in 2007 and 2008 respectively, before he made the move to France in 2009.

Two seasons after joining Toulon Senekal made the move to Agen, joining fellow South African, Hendro Scholtz, in the teams ranks.

In 2012, Senekal joined French Top 14 side Bayonne.
