Burton Francis

In 2008 Francis was named the Vodacom Cup player of the year, and the following year he was part of the hugely successful Blue Bulls squad that won both the Super 14 and Currie Cup trophies that year.
Francis joined the Golden Lions in 2009 after his successful stint with the Blue Bulls, and although he was ruled out of the Super 14 in 2010 due to injury, he played exceptionally well in the 2010 ABSA Currie Cup.
Francis is relatively tall for a flyhalf, but has a big boot and sound goal-kicking abilities. Although he may be just 24 years of age, Francis plays with a maturity beyond his years.
