Pieter De Villiers

French rugby legend, Pieter De Villiers, is currently the head coach of the famous Villagers rugby club in Cape Town South Africa. The former tighthead prop is reknowned around the world for his technical ability and knowledge of the game - making him one of the brightest young coaches around.

De Villiers made the brave decision to head to France in 1994, joining Stade Francais. Incredibly strong, the Malmesbury born player was a significant part of the Stade Francais squad which took the club from the low levels of French rugby all the way to the top, including winning Top 14 titles in 1998, 2000, 2003, 2004, and 2007.
The 68-time capped prop forward retired from professional rugby in 2008 and is currently in his second year as head coach of Villagers. De Villiers recently worked as a scrum consultant for Boland rugby and is highly rated for his expertise at the set piece and his meticulous game analysis.
