Name: Matt O'Connor
Date of Birth: 29/01/79
Currently contracted to: Leicester Tigers
O'Connor was appointed as Head Coach of Leicester Tigers in July 2010, having arrived at the club ahead of the 2008/09 season.
As a player O'Connor represented the Brumbies and Australia before finally enjoying a spell in Japan at the end of his career. It was in Japan that O'Connor began his coaching career. He then made a return to Australia as the Back coach for the Brumbies, moulding together a line which included great players such as George Gregan, Stephan Larkham and Stirling Mortlock.
O'Connor spent three years working as a coach for the Australian A side before, teaming up with Heynecke Meyer, he moved to Leicester. Despite Meyer's departure from Welford Road, for personal reasons, O'Connor helped secure success at the Tigers, winning both the Premiership title and reaching the Heineken Cup final that season.
