Deon Fourie set for key role

An injury to Tiaan Liebenberg ahead of the new Super Rugby season has landed the spotlight on Stormers No.2 Deon Fourie. He faced up to the media this week.

Highly rated across the country, and particularly by the Stormers, Fourie is expected to mount a serious challenge for the hooker spot in the Cape franchises lineup this season. The injury to Liebenberg, which has ruled the one-time Bok tourist out for up to two and a half months, will see Fourie step into the starting spot for his teams opening round clash with the Lions next weekend.

Speaking at a press conference earlier this week, Fourie was positive about the season ahead - see his quotes here on www.rugby365.com.
